About
Allison Abbene, PA-C is a nationally certified, New York State licensed physician assistant specializing in the field of orthopedics. Under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Bedford, Allison handles all aspects of patient care including diagnosis, treatment, patient education, interpreting diagnostic tests as well as assisting Dr. Bedford in surgery.
Allison completed her undergraduate education at the University of Delaware, where she obtained an Honors Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. While there, she attended medical mission trips to Ecuador and worked at an Infectious Disease clinic in Wilmington, Delaware. She was employed as a biopsy technician at a private Gastroenterology office on Long Island before continuing her education at the School of Health Professions at Stony Brook University, where she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
