Hunter Brandwen, PA-C, ATC is a nationally certified physician assistant specializing in the field of orthopedics with a focus on sports medicine. Under the direction of Dr. Mathew (Teo) Mendez-Zfass and Dr. Gregory Galano, Hunter is involved with many aspects of patient care including interpretation of laboratory tests, X-rays, diagnosis, treatment and assisting with surgery for orthopedic problems.

Hunter received his undergraduate degree in athletic training from Stony Brook University. As an athletic trainer, Hunter worked with many local high schools and colleges providing on-field sports medicine coverage for the New York area. He completed his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Le Moyne college.

Hunter is an active member of American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA).
